CHANS Home Health Care Hospice Care Program offers the peer grief and bereavement support groups and services free to our local community through the services of our Hospice Volunteers.
CHANS Grief Support Groups provide a confidential and warm environment where participants can grieve with other who have also experienced loss. All groups are led by specially trained Volunteer Grief Facilitators and are free of charge.
Our library is a sanctuary where all are welcome. It is free to all professionals and community members interested in learning more about the issues of death, dying, grief, and loss. The library is open Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4 pm.
The CHANS Hospice Care Program staff, including the Hospice Volunteer and Grief and Bereavement Services Coordinators are available to speak to a variety of end-of-life issues, death and dying, grief and loss, and support group services to any community, civic, educational or professional group upon request. If we have not spoken to your group recently, we welcome you to invite us to a meeting or educational forum.
To learn more about our grief and bereavement services, or to schedule a speaking engagement, please call the Bereavement Services Coordinator at (207) 721-1357.
