Grief Support Groups

Hospice Volunteers: Center for Grief & Loss offers the following groups.

Please call Lynn Ellis, Director of Bereavement Services,
at 721-9702 to sign up for groups.

Current Groups Going

Adult Grief Support Group- Open to any adult whose loved one has died-
2nd & 4th Tuesday evenings - 6:30 – 8:00PM
Also 2nd & 4th Wednesday days – 12:30 – 2PM

Grieving Parent Support Group

Support to parents whose child has died (all ages)
Wednesdays, 6:30-8PM

Living Loss, Living Hope (LLLH ) – Anticipatory grief support for individuals or families facing life- threatening illness/divorce/ other losses
2nd & 4th Tuesdays, 5-6 PM

Pet Loss – Two open groups

2nd & 4th Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8PM
1) Anticipatory group for those facing end-of-life of pet
2) Grief Support group following death of pet

Suicide Survivor Support Group for Adults*

1st & 3rd Tuesdays, 6:30-8:00PM
Transitions - Mid Coast Grieving Children’s Program
Grief support for children, teens and families - Mondays 6:00-7:15 PM
NEW group starting Spring 2010

A pre-attendance intake is required before attending any of our groups so that we can be sure to match you up with the most supportive group based on your individual needs.

If a group listed does not fit your schedule, please call anyway. We may be able to accommodate your schedule with another group.

 
Snow policy: If the Brunswick schools are closed, the Hospice Center is closed and all programs are cancelled
All services provided by Hospice Volunteers are free. We depend upon United Way funding, memorial donations, bequests, individuals, towns and businesses for contributions.
