Hospice Volunteers Receive Rotary Grant
Hospice Volunteers in Mid Coast Maine is this year’s recipient of Brunswick Coastal Rotary Club’s local service grant. Brunswick Coastal is a member of Rotary International, one of the largest humanitarian service organizations in the world.
Each year Brunswick Coastal is actively involved in service projects both internationally and locally that benefit their communities. This year funds from the Brunswick Coastal Club and a District Simplified Grant from Rotary District #7780 were used to purchase video equipment to allow Hospice Volunteers to produce family video memoirs for the families of their dying clients.
Hospice Volunteers has also used the equipment to produce an informational video that will be made available through local community libraries, educators, physicians' offices, nursing homes and funeral directors to broaden awareness of the wonderful, compassionate, non medical services Hospice Volunteers provides free of charge to people who are dying and to their families.
To access Volunteer services or to view the informational video contact our outreach program at 729-3602.
