Elaine McGuire is the Hospice Volunteers Administrative Assistant providing support to all the Hospice staff. The past forty years have taken her many places and included a variety of different administrative jobs. The first job after business school was for the U.S. Government. After having her two children, she worked for E.F.Hutton, followed by Teledyne Electro-Mechanisms (flex circuitry). Her family moved to Arizona where she worked for the Town of Gilbert, Arizona. While there she received her CPS (Certified Professional Secretary) certification. Her husband’s job took them to Missouri where she got her real estate license and sold real estate. From there she went to Warrensburg, Missouri to serve the local Chamber of Commerce. After her husband’s death, she returned to Joplin, MO. to be near her children and worked in the accounting department of Smith Foods. A Maine native, three years ago she returned to Maine to care for her mother. hospiceadmin@suscom-maine.net
